Join us for a night of sparring and friendly competition!

Masterless Fencing is hosting our second Fight Night ever at our usual practice space! This event is open to all fencers who possess tournament-safe sparring kit.

Who: Masterless Fencing members, and anyone else with their own gear who wants to fence!

What: our Fight Night will consist of two concurrent events:

• sparring pit

  • half of our space will be for bear-pit-style sparring (first to three hits on any target, winner stays in, three doubles and both fencers are out)

  • any combination of weapons is allowed, assuming the weapons are safe (under 18kg flex), appropriate kit is used, and both fencers consent

• double-elimination bracket

  • in the other half of our space, we will run a double-elimination, tournament-style bracket of judged fencing rounds

  • we will use the scoring rule set from the Dutch Lion’s Cup 2024 tournament

  • fencers will be seeded randomly

  • the winners get bragging rights
